{10.29.11 - Halloween Potluck}

For our annual Halloween Potluck Playdate, I decided to make some fun, yummy treats for the kiddos.  I wanted something that would be easy for the kiddos to eat and that wouldn't be super messy.  These were perfect!

1.  Pretzel Rods dipped in white chocolate with mini chocolate chips for the eyes and mouth.

2.  Jumbo Jet-Puffed Marshmallows on lollipop sticks dipped in milk chocolate and rolled in Halloween colored sprinkles.

The kiddos loved them and their mouths were all black from the sprinkles by the end of the playdate!  Mission accomplished!

{11.13.11 - Party Potatoes}

My mother-in-law won over my heart (and my stomach) with her Party Potatoes.  They are so delish, and so easy to make!

Here's what you'll need:
instant mashed potato flakes
1 - 8oz box cream cheese
1 packet onion soup mix
4 Tbsp. (1/2 stick) butter
1 Cup shredded cheddar cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Follow directions on instant mashed potato box to make 12 servings (you could very easily substitute your own homemade mashed potatoes for the instant flakes).
Mix together cream cheese and onion soup mix, then add to potatoes and mix well.
Spread into a 13'x9' baking dish.
Melt butter and pour over potatoes.
Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top of potato mixture.

Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown.
Chow down!
